There were signs of cats in a very small aisle in the grocery store,
- Chinese dog treats in the grocery store. I don’t see dogs anywhere, though.
There were also dog treats, but I have only seen 2 strays and 1 leashed dog in 3 weeks. No cats. Hummmm….. I am really having animal withdrawal. There are also no ground animals, no rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, not even snakes… but I’ve been told if I go in the back of restaurants I will find rats. Oh, I did see a bird at work last week. I never realized how much I am tuned into the ‘other than’ human vibrations around me all the time, and without them, I am starting to get off balance. I contemplated going to the Shenzhen zoo, but I am afraid that it might upset me if the living conditions are poor.
I miss my furries. Sorry to whine.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo in China ❤

I agree, without animals it’s not the real thing. But I would skip the experience with the rats LOL

Easy – I plan on skipping the rat thing, but almost innocently walked into it today anyway. Scary when you are not sure where you are and can’t read signs or speak the language. BOL – DogDaz

I’m not a cat fan, because they scare me, but a place without cats seems wrong and somehow sinister. Yikes! I wish I could mail you the cat across the street. He stares at me every day through his window. I think he wants to kill me.
Love and licks,

Oh my, Cupcake. I think that he probably just does not understand your sweet doggie self. Thanks – put air holes in the box though.

sorry you are having a withdrawal. I’ll be missing them too. May I ask you a favour. Do you mind, I want to see how you will register in the map of WP. Please “like” the most recent post. I am really curious how this would work as to how China be recorded in the system. Thank you.

I don’t think I will be recorded in china since I reroute my IP address through LA, California to by pass Chinese restrictions to WordPress. But absolutely I will like you post – Lorian

*slaps paw with other paw* shame on me and my staff for not having visited more often. You must be in China for work? Mom Linda visited with a friend in 2005, they did see cats and dogs, but out in the country when they were driving to and from sites. No cats in big cities, some pure bred dogs, no mixed breeds. It was a foreign place for sure.

No worries – Mom is working in China for awhile. It keeps us in pet food. It is definitely different then America where there are animals everywhere.
