8.12.13 Monday Mischief: No Crabs For Dinner
Crab cages are empty. All the better because we would probably just throw them back anyway. Someday the dogs are going to get their noses clawed. Can’t wait to get that picture.

Sunday Cartoons
Yurike Cynthia illustrated this set of eight different cute animal graphics. They are perfect for kid designs. Some of these animal graphics are hilarious, such as the fox and lion.

8.9.13 Follow Up Friday: Indian Winter?
Today is Follow-up Friday hosted by Jodi from Heart Like A Dog. This is where we review the week behind so that we can launch into the week ahead (or something like that).
The weather broke beautiful this week from that terrible heat we have been having. They call the warm weather of late autumn, Indian Summer, so I am going to call this, Indian Winter. (reference: Deedler, William (Fall 1996). “Just What Is Indian Summer And Did Indians Really Have Anything To Do With It?”. National Weather Service Detroit office.)) I am not complaining, it is marvelous. Actually Indian WInter supposedly happens in the spring when you think winter is over but then it snows, but I think all this cool weather in summer deserves a name too.
On Caturday, the 3 cats were on the bed for their late night snack. These 3 only come together for eating. It was easier to take a picture when there were 5 then it is for 3, I guess Noel really wants nothing to do with the young ones. I can understand, because Nine is a bully. Here were the 5 in bed with me before we lost Muffy and Cuddles.
Black & White Sunday was a cool shot of the dogs in the sports field. I think the mowed grass looks like waves in the ocean. What do you think?
Of course the dogs were up to their usual Mischief Monday. We were sitting nicely on the couch watching a TV show when they had to toss and bite for a better position near me. Actually, I should say Sofie did, since she seems to always be the one to start something. BOL.
I showcased 2 new seniors on Tuesday’s Tails. It is so sad when seniors are in the shelter. I do hope it helps them find their final homes. I wish I could create a no-kill safe home for animals 7 and older. Wouldn’t that be great. Shady Acres. They could live out there lives or find final homes. Oh Dog, I don’t want to think about the amount of care that would take – I can dream though, right?
Wordless Wednesday were our constant pool guests – uninvited but always welcome. We have several pair of ducks that return year after year. I do wonder if they are generations of the previous families? How long do ducks live and do they come back to the same nesting spots year after year? We like to name them. Last year I had 7 males that hung together in the bushes all the time. Duck Gangs!
There is so much to be Thankful for and Thankful Thursday focused to the heavens and gave you a beautiful dog cloud. I love cloud formations and pride myself on seeing all kinds of things.
That’s it for the week. Thanks for playing along with us. Check out the hop below and you can go play with others.

8.8.13 Thankful Thursday: Dog Clouds
Today is Thankful Thursday and I want to thank the powers that be for this incredible break in the weather. I saw a cloud the other afternoon that I am sure was Sofie, but I was driving, so I could not get a picture. But others have seen dog clouds too. Have you? Send me your dog or cat clouds? dogdazcats2@aol.com

8.6.13 Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop: Seniors Nami & Raven
So glad you are joining me today for the Dogs N Pawz Blog Hop called Tuesday’s Tails! New posts go up on Tuesday but you can link up and post when you want all week-long. The whole purpose is to feature cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, etc. so when you link up is up to you! Even pets from PetFinder, are fine. Let’s just get them all homes!
Dogs N Pawz said “I also want to encourage all of you to share each other’s Tuesday’s Tails posts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and whatever other social media channels you use. The more we share the more likely we are to get the word out!”
Let’s hop to it! Today we are featuring Nami, a very cute 10-year-old beagle, with a smile that is to ‘die for.’ And, Raven, an 8 year of Jack Rat Terrier. These great seniors have a lot to give and tons of licks for you. Help them find their new families!

8.4.13 Black and White Sunday: Field Day
The dogs and I love to play in the sports field over at the school. The clippings look like foam on the ocean in black and white. It was fun to kick up the stuff and run in the hay until the swallows came (see Monday Mischief for more on that.)
Happy Sunday!
