Because there wasn’t enough craziness going on here at DogDaz Zoo, we added a new snuggler to the pride/pack.
WELCOME MISS MINI COOPER!!
I made the mistake of going to the pet store on Saturday. Now that I work outside the house during the week, weekends are the only time I have to get stuff done. While looking for dog cookies, I sent V to get cat food. MISTAKE!! V bumped into a rescue group called Cats R Us and a wall of sweeties needing homes. Shame on me! I know better than to take V to the pet store, ever, but never when there is an adoption event. Welcome our newest snuggler.
Mini is sooooo small. She weighs about 3 lbs, if that. She was found with her siblings under a hedge in a grocery store parking lot back in June or July. She is the runt and was so underweight they thought she wouldn’t make it. Her nice foster humans took care of her and now she is home with us. Strong and feisty and ready to take over the world, soon. Everyone is starting to pile up at the kitten room door. (You know my rule, a few days of smelling under the door before we have a formal introduction.) Sofie doesn’t want to go for a walk because she knows that something new is in the house. She just sits outside Mini’s door and whines and whines.
Yes, Mini Cooper is a little fancy car. The rescue ran out of names so they started to name the kittens after cars. I really liked her sister Bentley too. They called her Minnie but we decided on Mini (or maybe MC).
I took a little video last night when we first got her home. She was wild for the tag on her new bed. This girl is going to be a love.
And now we are six (4 cats, 2 dogs). How many cats qualify me for a crazy cat lady and what mischief did you get into today?

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from Snoopy’s DogBlog. Check them out for more mischief.

Late addition to post: Many of you have seen Madge’s face here for a few months now and are familiar with her story. Unfortunately, this might be her very last pleas for help unless someone can help Canine Nation change Madge’s situation for the better. Madge has been kenneled altogether for over three months now and is completely miserable. In her time with Canine Nation, she’s sadly spent a majority of her time in a cage at various facilities and because of this her separation anxiety has worsened as well as her fear and defensive behavior with other dogs. She has gone absolutely kennel crazy and barks constantly, pacing day in and day out. It is obvious she cannot continue the path she is on now. This is their last plea for help for Madge as they have run out of options and funding and are desperately in need of a foster. Madge craves attention and human interaction as any dog, especially a previous abuse case, does. Madge needs the help from a loving, patient home now more than ever. She cannot make it further without your help. Please email caninenation@gmail.com ASAP if you can help. Madge needs your help today!

Miss Madge has been URGENT since June and still needs someone to help!!!
She is at a boarding kennel again after her foster moved and she is going nuts!!!
This is Madge, who we’re now referring to as “Miracle Madge.” With the help of some awesome volunteers at literally the last minute, she was pulled in May from a Maryland shelter where her time was up. After meeting her in person, we were actually surprised she was given the time she was at her shelter. Though she’s sweet as pie, Madge looks like she’s been through hell and back in her short 3 year life. Through all of her nightmarish past, Madge stands strong and is just a delight to be around.
She’s got a gorgeous smile that’s so completely full of life, you can’t help but smile when you are around her.
She seriously enjoys the company of people and adores the attention she receives.
She’s has successful met other dogs (which she completely ignored).
She is not good with young children (that is why her most recent adoption fell through).
Her previous and VERY kind last foster set Madge up with a Banfield account so she can continue to get the medical care she needs. But that foster moved and poor Madge had to go back to boarding. Madge has had a very rough life and she still has a long journey to go, but we know there is a special someone out there to help her along the way. Please share her story and message caninenation.org to help! Shes currently in NJ and needs a miracle now!
Thank you! Let’s get Madge out of boarding and into a foster home today!
Please remember that all pets need loving homes. Foster or forever – you can help today. All of us at DogDaz Zoo Thank You! We rescued Mommy, maybe some animal can rescue you!!
Not sure why people fear black animals, but we know they do. I never would have gone out to adopt a black dog if a local rescue group didn’t introduce us to this fearful little 4 month old black dog covered with demodex mange, scars, and a collar embedded in her little nexk. I can not image life without Louise now.
“Thanks, Mom, I can’t imagine life without you either. Adopt a human today!” – Louise (aka Lulu Belle)
