Miss Madge has been URGENT since June and still needs someone to help!!!
She is at a boarding kennel again after her foster moved and she is going nuts!!!
This is Madge, who we’re now referring to as “Miracle Madge.” With the help of some awesome volunteers at literally the last minute, she was pulled in May from a Maryland shelter where her time was up. After meeting her in person, we were actually surprised she was given the time she was at her shelter. Though she’s sweet as pie, Madge looks like she’s been through hell and back in her short 3 year life. Through all of her nightmarish past, Madge stands strong and is just a delight to be around.
She’s got a gorgeous smile that’s so completely full of life, you can’t help but smile when you are around her.
She seriously enjoys the company of people and adores the attention she receives.
She’s has successful met other dogs (which she completely ignored).
She is not good with young children (that is why her most recent adoption fell through).
Her previous and VERY kind last foster set Madge up with a Banfield account so she can continue to get the medical care she needs. But that foster moved and poor Madge had to go back to boarding. Madge has had a very rough life and she still has a long journey to go, but we know there is a special someone out there to help her along the way. Please share her story and message caninenation.org to help! Shes currently in NJ and needs a miracle now!
Thank you! Let’s get Madge out of boarding and into a foster home today!
Please remember that all pets need loving homes. Foster or forever – you can help today. All of us at DogDaz Zoo Thank You! We rescued Mommy, maybe some animal can rescue you!!
Many of you know that Louise is a fearful dog. She needs more space and time than many other dogs for many reasons. Nothing is ‘wrong’ with Louise, that is just who she is. I try really hard to work with her fears, not to change her, but to make her life easier. If you have a fearful dog, you might want to check out this wonderful blog called DINOS (DogsInNeedOfSpace.com).
The following is a great resource list direct reblog from DINOS. If you are not familiar with them please check them out at dogsinneedofspace.com
Read + Watch
Below you’ll find a list of books, articles, blogs, and videos recommended by Team DINOS on Facebook – everyone from shelter workers to dog trainers pitched in to recommend their top picks for resources that have been helpful for their DINOS. Every dog is an individual and there are many types of DINOS, so please keep in mind that what works for one DINOS family, may not work for another.
This list is always expanding, so be sure to check back and if you’d like to recommend a book, blog, or video, please let me know:info@notesfromadogwalker.com

CanineNation.org is losing its battle getting pit bulls out of shelters before they are killed. Money is short with everyone but even $1 will help. I am giving today’s blog to their efforts.

Not sure why people fear black animals, but we know they do. I never would have gone out to adopt a black dog if a local rescue group didn’t introduce us to this fearful little 4 month old black dog covered with demodex mange, scars, and a collar embedded in her little nexk. I can not image life without Louise now.
“Thanks, Mom, I can’t imagine life without you either. Adopt a human today!” – Louise (aka Lulu Belle)

Let’s hop to it! Fosters needed and, of course, forever families. Jacobi is a great guy, just down on his luck. And poor Madge, every foster home seems to move on her, and she has been in and out of boarding for 4 months (which is sapping the finances of the little rescue organization). Contact CanineNation.org if you can help.

New Jersey, New York, Penn, New England!!!! HELP Madge Now.
Madge is a special dog looking for that special someone who can understand how scared the world has made her and help her enjoy all the wonderful things that dogs should enjoy instead of abandonment and pain.
As of this evening, we learned that Madge can no longer go back to her original boarding facility because she suffered the kennel crazies during her first stay there. Madge constantly barked, paced and pleaded to get out of her cage while being boarded, to the point of almost hurting herself. It’s clear to us now that she physically CANNOT go back to boarding, but sadly this leaves us with very little options for Madge and as of Wednesday, July 30, 2014, she will be homeless. Madge cannot be with kids or other dogs (she is not cat tested), so we know that limits her possibilities.
Her previous and VERY kind foster set Madge up with a Banfield account so she can continue to get the medical care she needs. Madge has had a very rough life and she still has a long journey to go, but we know there is a special someone out there to help her along the way. Please share her story and message caninenation.org to help! Shes currently in NJ and needs a miracle now!
Thank you! Let’s get Jacobi and Madge homes! Contact CanineNation.org

This is terribly sad situation. Can someone please take Pfeizer? He is in North Carolina. He shouldn’t have to spend his final days in a concrete cell.
————————————————————————
On July 17, the owners of a 16-year-old golden retriever mix walked their elderly dog into the Beaufort County Animal Control in Washington, N.C., and handed his leash over to a shelter employee.
The dog, named “Pfeizer,” has all of the typical signs of advanced age…his body is arthritic, his skin is looser than it once was and his fur is thin and missing in places.
The following information is listed on Pfeizer’s Petango pet profile:
Pfeizer is a 16 year old Neutered male Golden Retriever mix that was surrendered by his owners on 7/17 because they couldn’t keep him anymore. He has some skin allergies on his back that the vet has been treating, but he is still irritated back there. He is an elderly dog, and doesn’t like a lot of people. But is ready for adoption NOW.
Please take a moment to network this senior dog’s information – he deserves to enjoy his final moments of life in the comfort of a home, on a soft bed, by the side of a person who loves him.
Please direct all inquiries about this dog to the facility where he is being held; refer to identification number 23345387
Note: For more info email the shelter staff at animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us. Always refer to the petango or ID number! Adoption fee is $65 which includes spay/neuter, p/d shot, bordetella, microchip and deworming. Approved 501c3 Rescues can pull for $15 which includes p/d shot, bordetella, microchip and deworm. Some volunteer assistance for 501c3 rescues.

We really need to get these dogs out of boarding and into fosters or forevers,
