5.3.13 Follow Up Friday: Co-Hosting Fun
We are so excited to be co-hosting today’s Follow-up Friday with Jodi from Heart Like A Dog. Thank you. We are honored to be helping co-lead the fun today.
Last Mischief Monday, when Sofie was eating cat toys, we found out that a lot of dogs like cat nip. I was wondering if there is anything similar for dogs, like DOGNIP, or will they eat cat toys anyway just because they belong to the cats? Sofie actually sucks on the cat toys (not chew). Maybe it is catnip tea?
Spring has sprung here in Annapolis, so on Tuesday we showed off the fresh blooms through the reflection of our front door (with animal noses). But Sofie is not enjoying the pollen. Everyone was pretty amazed on Wednesday with the PINK SNOW. It is actually cherry blossoms, which are a big favorite here in the Washington, DC area.
“Each year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries.”
Thursday brought us our weekly thank you, especially for all the wonderful awards we have received. Our blog friends are the best and we love you. Even the cats are kissing dogs these days…
That’s it for the week. Thanks for playing along with us. Check out the hop below and you can go play with others.

4.30.13 Spring Reflections: Achoooo!
It always amazes me how the plants just seem to ‘pop’ all of a sudden. This April, here in the Mid-Atlantic, we had a record snow fall, record cold, and record heat. I am glad to report, though cooler than normal temperatures overall this month, ‘spring has sprung!’ As you can see reflected in my front door.

Poor Sofie Bear has been struggling terribly with seasonal allergies this spring, and I keep her on a daily dose of Benadryl, which seems to be helping. She has this incredible sense of self preservation, on days when the pollen is maximum strength (like last Friday) she refused to go outside (smart girl). As I write this we are thankfully having a light rain, which maybe will bring the pollen count down. Until I moved to the Mid-Atlantic my animals never suffered from seasonal allergies, but it appears that this is a really bad area for both humans and pets.
One thing I know for sure is that this too shall pass, I just hope for Sofie’s sake it is sooner, rather than later.
Today’s lesson from Sofie – When the world outside is unsafe for you – stay in – go back to bed. But do try again tomorrow.
Do your animals get seasonal allergies? What do you do?

4.29.13 Monday Mischief: 3 Choices
This is the scene first thing in the morning between my bathroom door and my bed room: Louise’s marrow bone, Sofie’s airdog, and Nine’s cat toy
This is the scene after my shower: Nine and Sofie, outside the bathroom door with a new configuration of the toys.
Can you guess which toy Sofie chooses most of the time to suck on ?
Don’t try to to figure this dog out? She prefers her toys with that catnip taste.

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from Snoopy’s DogBlog. Check them out for more mischief.
