Ok, Mother Nature, enough is enough! It is March now and the other day was meteorological SPRING. Get it? SPRING!!!! So stop with the snow and ice already. Respectfully, Louise and Sofie Bear
Louise found a nice sun square on the kitchen floor late in the afternoon coming through the western window. The late day tones made the second photo almost black and white without me having to do anything.
Louise was keeping that sunspot all to herself (you can see poor Sofie in the shadows). There are not a lot of sunspots in the winter to lie in.
Sofie and Charles agree on one thing when Mom is sitting at the kitchen table, she must be having something to eat, therefore, we must look as pitiful as possible so that she gives us some of it. Sorry but that just doesn’t work, most of the time, but it does, some of the time, so we try it all of the time, because, what do we have but time.
Ever since Louise got sick in the fall she has become a bed hog. When you find yourself sleeping horizontally across the pillows because you can’t stretch your legs out because the dog has taken up most of the bed, you know that your dog is a BED HOG. I am going to start a movement called TAKE BACK THE BED! I am not sure I will win though.
The first Sunday of 2019. All is quiet at the Zoo. Sofie is watching the world go by. The weather has been weirdly mild for January. But wait, this is the mid-Atlantic, so tomorrow it may be freezing and snow. Sofie has taken to sitting on the bench lately. Maybe it is a good vantage point to catch squirrels? Maybe it allows her to see over the fence down the street? I never see Louise up there and I am not sure Charles even knows the bench exists (Bark Out Loud). Funny how different dogs prefer different places around the yard and the house. Over the years, this spot seems to be a Sofie favorite. Solemn contemplation for the coming year? I am just happy she is quiet for a moment. Have a wonderful first Black & White Sunday of the year!
