We can’t remember if we ever introduced you to Mom’s pool dog, Ruffus? Ru lives in the pool and doesn’t eat much or need walks. He just likes to float. Mom is closing the pool today for the winter, so Ruffus is going to be a flat dog for a while and live in a crate in the garage. Boy, I am glad that I am not a pool dog. I hate my crate. – Sofie Bear

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from MYBrownNewfies. Check them out for more mischief.
There are really no words that can describe the horror of this event. Since I live in the Washington DC area, and come from New York, these attacks effected so many people that I know. From my cousins who were first responders at the Pentagon, my friend working inside the Pentagon when it was hit and survived, my family and friends working in Manhattan at the time of the attack, my colleague on the plane that went down in Pennsylvania and the one that perished in the second tower, I will never forget you. This is just so wrong. Yet, people around the world live with this terror everyday of their lives. I pray everyday for an end to this violence. This is not the answer to anything. But those of you reading this know that. Light a candle with me and maybe together our collective energy will do some good. Peace be with you. – Lorian
Noel has this thing for shucking on paper. When you go to take a tissue from the box, or a napkin from the table, you may find the edges twirled with spit, or chewed off all together. At holiday time, we have to hide the wrapping paper.
Peanut says that if Noel were a person, she would have the disorder called: Pica. That is the persistent eating of substances such as dirt or paint that have no nutritional value. Actually, that may describe most of my animals, but Noel is really into paper.
As difficult as her separation anxiety, obsessive compulsive behavior, night terrors, and constant allergies are for me, she is a funny, happy, silly girl. Every animal is a gift and a lesson. She has taught me such patience and rewarded me with unconditional devotion.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
This is a Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. Thanks to BlogPaws for the hop. Head over there and see what they are blogging about.
I know you don’t see many pictures of Stella on the blog any more because she is not in the general population, but Stella is still very much part of the Zoo. She lives in her own private suite and is much happier since we figured out what she needed. She does like when Sofie and Louise come to visit for a few minutes, but not the other cats.
To better understand Stella, check out Garbo in Grand Hotel (1932) – she “JUST WANTS TO BE ALONE!”
Happy Birthday, Miss Stella Bear. You are something special.
Sofie likes to relax under the big tree in the mulched yard. No grass has grown there for a very long time. Not only is it fun to lie on, you can chew sticks at the same time.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola and Sugar for hosting.
